A Building designer is not an architect but can offer a similar design and documentation at a fee less than an architect.
Draftsmans can assist in a situation where the client has preconceived ideas of how they would like the layout and feel of there project and just wish for plans to be drawn to obtain a building permit.
Its always important to be really clear about budgets and timelines from the start.
Remember architects, building designers and draftsman are not quantity estimators and can’t be expected to know the exact figure of the project. This can lead to project plans becoming overdrawn and above budget.
